Through the night...

Reminds me of the old days and how people used to be.

Staying up to late, and out til you don't know when.
Keeping track of nothing but who is making you spin.
Smiles cross your face like nothing else in the world, and
dreams don't matter b/c real life is far way more fun.
Time flies by, but none of that matters b/c you're with those
ones you care about most. By the wind and the rain, by the
lights zooming past as you speed down the road. Walking
for miles in the directions of the unknown. Take nothing
for granted and don't wish for better days. Look back
and watch the images flash in a haze b/c in those
days no cameras were in site. All that doesn't matter now
though. It's sad to look back and realize that was not true
and all the people you met were just a place holder for
the greater ones to come into your life, but you can't help
but wonder what if they are supposed to come back?
What if they weren't just there for a moment, but are meant
for a lifetime? Tears run down your face as you think this
b/c with all the drama and mess ups and problems,
your dreams are sadly better than your reality.

Someday that'll change and it'll all come back to you.
Life as you knew it will come back, and life as you know
it will be better than you imagined it. If only...just wait.
